Local Festivals in Murcia and Costa Calida!

| Santisima y Vera Cruz – Caravaca |
The festival runs from the 30th April to 5th May.
The night of the 30th April is the "Night of the Migas" is the night the whole city "penas" cook then migas in the street.
The most important night of the festical is May 3rd when the Blessing of the water is celebrated at the Templete. Before the blessing the two kings of the Moors and the Christians lead a procession through the town.

In the Castrillo de Murcia there is a festival in May to celebrate the festival of Corpus Christi that sees grown men dressed as devils jumping over babies.
The celebrations continue over a few days, with Sunday the most important.

| San Javier Jazz Festival |
A very well respected Jazz festival featuring some of the top names in World Jazz.
This year featuring the legendary Al Kooper, it is held in the town of San Javier, not far from San Pedro Del Pinatar. the event runs from January to May, finishing on May 31st with Al Kooper.

Benidorm Fiesta Week

Starts on the second week of November and lasts for 6 days with something for everyone.
The festival ends in a huge firework display. One procession includes a flower filled procession through the streets.
